The Michigan Silversmiths Guild was founded in 1948. Guild members include craftspersons proficient in the fields of metalsmithing and jewelry, and serves to broaden the knowledge of its members' craft and to facilitate communication with other metalsmiths. Julie Sanford is a current board member of the Michigan Silversmiths Guild and works to help facilitate educational programing for it's membership and bring new opportunities to the West Michigan region.
